Its operating capacity is 18,150 MW, which includes a 40 MW solar plant. Long-term power purchase agreements, which are contracts to buy power over a fixed period, cover 15.8 GW of its existing capacity, and medium-term agreements cover 1.6 GW. It has 3,967 permanent employees.
Its plants supply eight Indian states: Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Haryana, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. It belongs to the Adani portfolio of companies, which is headquartered in Ahmedabad and was founded in 1988 by Gautam Adani. It comprises 13 listed companies.
