Not investment advice
Everything on StockExact is for information and education only. Nothing on the site is investment advice, and nothing is a recommendation or an offer to buy, sell or hold any security, mutual fund or other investment.
StockExact is not registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) as an investment adviser or a research analyst, or as any other kind of intermediary. Nothing here takes account of your circumstances, goals or appetite for risk.
Before you invest, speak to an investment adviser registered with SEBI.
Where the figures come from
The figures come from the filings companies make with the stock exchanges (results, shareholding patterns, corporate actions and announcements), from the exchanges' own daily price files, and from the reports mutual fund houses publish. Each figure is worked out from those by a fixed rule, the same for every company and fund, and how the figures are worked out sets the rules out.
Figures may be wrong, late or missing
The figures are shown as they are, without any promise that they are complete, correct or current. A filing can itself contain errors or be revised later, a figure can arrive late, and reading and working out thousands of filings can introduce mistakes of our own. Where a figure fails a check it is left blank, but a check cannot catch every error.
Check any figure against the company's or fund house's own filing before you act on it.
Prices
Prices are the exchanges' closing prices or a delayed view of the day's trading. They are not live prices and are not suitable for trading decisions.
Past returns and market risk
Investments in securities are subject to market risk. A return shown for a past period says nothing about the return in any future period.
Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks; read all scheme related documents carefully.
Calculators
The calculators do arithmetic on the figures you enter, such as an amount, a period and a rate of return. Their answers show what those figures would give and are not a forecast of what any investment will return. Taxes and charges are not taken off unless a calculator says so.
Company profiles
The "About the company" text on a company's page is written with the help of an AI model from the company's own latest annual report and investor presentation, and every statement in it is checked against a quotation from those documents before it is published. It describes what the company does; it makes no statement about how the company is doing. It can still contain mistakes, and the company's own documents are the authority.
No liability
You use StockExact at your own risk. Sanket Dalvi, who runs StockExact, accepts no liability for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on anything on it, to the extent the law allows.
Company and fund names
Names and logos of companies, fund houses, exchanges and indices belong to their owners and are shown only to identify them. Showing them does not mean any of them is connected with, or endorses, StockExact.
