StockExact is run by Sanket Dalvi, who decides how the little personal data the site touches is handled. Questions, requests and complaints about it go to [email protected].

Like every website, the site's servers and the network that delivers it receive the technical details of each request: your IP address, your browser and device type, the page asked for, the page you came from and the time. These are used only to deliver the site, keep it working and protect it from abuse, and are kept only as long as that needs.

Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookie, does not identify or follow you from site to site, and reports only totals: how many visits a page had, from which countries, devices and referring sites.

A few choices are kept in your own browser's storage so the site remembers them: light or dark theme, the pages you recently viewed (for the search box), and view settings such as a list's filter. They stay on your device and are never sent to the site. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

If you email the site, your email address and message are used only to reply and to deal with what you raised, and are deleted when they are no longer needed for that.

Company filings name people: promoters, directors, key managers, and people who traded a company's shares. The site shows what those public filings state about them in that role, as the exchanges publish it. Identity numbers such as PAN are never stored or shown, even where a source carries them. If you are named and think something is shown wrongly, write to us.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask for a summary of the personal data held about you and how it is used, ask for it to be corrected, completed or erased, and name someone to act for you if you cannot. Write to the address above; you will get a reply as soon as possible, and within the time the law sets.

If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

The site is not meant for anyone under 18, and does not knowingly hold personal data about a child.

This notice changes when the site's handling of personal data changes. The date at the top says when it last did.
