About NTPC Green Energy
NTPC Green Energy Limited builds, owns and operates renewable energy projects in India. It is the renewable energy arm of the NTPC Group and a subsidiary of NTPC Limited. It was incorporated in 2022. Its registered office is in New Delhi and its corporate office is in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
As of 31 March 2026, the company had 10,076 MW of operational capacity and 16,468 MW of contracted and awarded capacity. Its projects span solar, wind, hybrid, battery energy storage systems, pumped storage and firm and dispatchable renewable energy. The group has a battery energy storage portfolio of 1,920 MWh. Its solar projects include the Khavda solar park in Gujarat, where its subsidiary is developing a 100 MWh vanadium redox flow battery storage system. It is also developing a green hydrogen hub at Pudimadaka in Andhra Pradesh, and it is expanding its supply to commercial and industrial consumers.
As of 31 March 2026, the company had six subsidiaries and four joint ventures. NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary, runs solar and wind projects in commercial operation. ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited is a 50:50 joint venture with ONGC Green Limited. In 2025 the company formed two subsidiaries with state-owned partners, each held 74:26: NTPC MAHAPREIT Green Energy Limited, incorporated in April, and Chhattisgarh NTPC Green Energy Limited, incorporated in December.
