About Hero MotoCorp
Hero MotoCorp Limited makes motorcycles and scooters for riders in India and overseas. It is the world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer by unit sales for a single company, a position it has held for 25 years. It has sold 130 million two-wheelers across more than 50 countries. Its registered office is in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.
The business is organised into five product groups: motorcycles, scooters, an electric portfolio, Harley-Davidson, and emerging mobility and innovation. Motorcycles run from 100cc models such as the Splendor+ to premium models such as the Xtreme 250R and Karizma XMR. Scooters include the Pleasure+, Destini and Xoom ranges. The electric portfolio is sold under the VIDA brand, with models such as the VIDA V2 Pro and VIDA VX2 Plus. Harley-Davidson motorcycles also sit in the portfolio. Freedo Rentals, incubated under the HeroHatch platform, lets customers access two-wheelers without long-term commitments.
Production is spread across six plants in India: Dharuhera and Gurugram in Haryana, Haridwar in Uttarakhand, Neemrana in Rajasthan, Halol in Gujarat and Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh. Dharuhera is the first of them. There are also plants in Colombia and Bangladesh, and the Bangladesh plant is a joint venture with the Niloy Group. Research and development is carried out at the Center for Innovation and Technology in Jaipur and at the Hero Tech Center Germany in Munich. A Global Parts Center at Neemrana supplies spare parts.
The company was set up by Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal, its Founder and Chairman Emeritus. Dr. Pawan Munjal is its Executive Chairman.
