Exchange sought clarification from Tech Mahindra Limited with respect to a news item captioned "Tech Mahindra to absorb Mahindra Engineering by Oct". The Company has clarified that "The Scheme of Amalgamation and Arrangement between the company and MESL was approved by the Board of Directors in November 2013 and later it was approved by the shareholders at the court convened meeting. Intimations were sent to the Exchanges as and when required. In addition, Exchanges have given a go ahead under Cl 24 of the listing agreement for the Scheme. As per the procedure, the Petition for sanctioning the Scheme is pending before the Hon'ble High Court of Bombay for its consideration. While normally it takes about 2 months to conclude the process, we may not commit the time lines as the matter is subjudice".
