About Gland Pharma
Gland Pharma Limited makes sterile injectable medicines. It sells them to other pharmaceutical companies under a business-to-business (B2B) model built on long-term partnerships. Its products serve therapeutic areas that include oncology, ophthalmology and central nervous system disorders. Products it supplies include Enoxaparin, Vancomycin, Chlorothiazide, Heparin and Daptomycin.
The company reports its business in two parts: B2B, and CDMO. A CDMO, or contract development and manufacturing organisation, develops and makes medicines for other companies under contract. Both parts sell into the United States, Europe, India, and Canada, Australia and New Zealand, along with other countries.
In India, it operates four formulation manufacturing facilities, in Hyderabad and at a special economic zone in Visakhapatnam. Its European business, Cenexi, operates four more in France and Belgium. The Indian sites have lines for vials, ampoules, pre-filled syringes, infusion bags and ophthalmic products, and for cartridges. The Dundigal site, a 5,00,000 sq. ft. sterile injectable facility, was approved by the United States drug regulator in 2003. The Pashamylaram site, of 6,00,000 sq. ft., began operations in July 2015. As of June 2026, the company has made 389 filings with the United States drug regulator for generic medicines, known as ANDAs, of which 342 are approved.
The company was founded in Hyderabad, where its registered office remains. It was incorporated in 1978. It acquired Cenexi to strengthen its CDMO platform.
