Consolidated. The last eight quarters. The latest is shaded. Net profit is the whole group's, the other owners of its subsidiaries included; P/E and ROE use the company's own share. Net margin is left blank for Dec 2024, Mar 2025 and Jun 2025: the profit includes the result of a business the company has discontinued, which the revenue does not, so the two make no margin.

The quarters either side of a change of basis do not compare. From the quarter to Dec 2024, the company reports a discontinued business.

Return is price growth plus the average dividend yield. Change in P/E is (1 + price growth) / (1 + earnings growth) - 1, so the parts compound rather than add. Earnings growth over 3 and 5 years is on profit divided by shares in issue at both ends: the earnings per share stated for one end does not match that year's profit and share count. Earnings growth over 1, 3 and 5 years includes one-off items (exceptional items and the result of businesses sold or closed) of more than a tenth of the profit of the years to Mar 2025 and Mar 2026.

About Escorts Kubota

Escorts Kubota Limited makes tractors and construction equipment. Its customers are farmers, contractors, infrastructure developers and industrial customers in India and in other countries. It was incorporated in 1944, and its registered office is in Faridabad, Haryana.

The business has two segments. Agri Machinery Products covers the tractor business and a non-tractor business that includes agri solutions, engines, and spare parts and services. Tractors are sold under the Farmtrac, Powertrac and Kubota brands, in the domestic market and for export. Construction Equipment covers pick-and-carry cranes, backhoe loaders, mini excavators and compactors.

The agri machinery segment manufactures at plants in Faridabad, Pune and Chennai, and at a plant in Poland that is a wholly owned subsidiary. Construction equipment is made at a plant in Ballabhgarh, Haryana. The company also has a wholly owned captive finance subsidiary, Escorts Kubota Finance Limited, set up to finance customers.

Kubota Corporation of Japan, a maker of machinery for agriculture, construction and water and environment, is the company's holding company and a joint promoter. A promoter is the person or group that set up a company or controls it. Kubota took an equity stake in the company, and the company later amalgamated two Kubota joint ventures into itself.

The company sold its Railway Equipment Division through a slump sale, a transfer of a business as a whole for a lump sum, completed on 1 June 2025. That division is now reported as discontinued operations, and the company's continuing business is agri machinery and construction equipment.
