About Deepak Fertilizers and Petrochemicals Corporation
Deepak Fertilisers And Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (DFPCL) is a diversified, multi-product chemicals company serving mining, pharma and chemicals, infrastructure and agriculture. It runs four business verticals: industrial chemicals, mining chemicals, crop nutrition and value-added real estate. It was incorporated in 1979 and has its registered office in Pune.
In industrial chemicals, iso propyl alcohol and nitric acid are the primary products, alongside ammonia and liquid carbon dioxide. The business operates across 28 Indian states and Union Territories and exports to 23 countries. DFPCL has manufacturing facilities at Taloja, Dahej, Srikakulam and Panipat.
Mining chemicals sit in Deepak Mining Solutions Limited (DMSL), which supplies low density and high density ammonium nitrate. DMSL has an Australian subsidiary, Platinum Blasting Services, which provides blasting services to the Australian mining industry. DMSL raised its shareholding in it from 85% to 100% in the year to March 2026.
Crop nutrition sits in Mahadhan AgriTech Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary that offers fertilisers under the Mahadhan brand, including Smartek, Croptek and Solutek. It runs a research and innovation centre in Pune. The value-added real estate business is anchored by Creaticity, a furniture and home décor destination in Pune.
Following a restructuring, the mining chemicals and crop nutrition businesses operate as separate entities. Performance Chemiserve Limited, a step-down subsidiary, runs a 1,500 tonne per day ammonia plant. A Singapore-based wholly owned subsidiary, Deepak Globalchem PTE. LTD., is the party to which the long-term liquefied natural gas supply agreement with Equinor was novated in March 2026.
