Earnings growth over 1, 3 and 5 years includes one-off items (exceptional items and the result of businesses sold or closed) of more than a tenth of the profit of the year to Mar 2026.

About Bajaj Holdings & Investment

Bajaj Holdings & Investment Limited is an investment holding company based in Pune. It does not have any other operations of its own. It is registered with the Reserve Bank of India as a non-banking financial company, and an application to re-categorise it as an unregistered core investment company is under review by the regulator. It is part of the BSE 100 and Nifty 100 indices of the 100 top listed companies in India. On 31 March 2026 it had 14 permanent employees.

Its investments are of two kinds: strategic stakes in group companies, and financial investments in capital markets and in properties. The strategic stakes include Bajaj Auto and Bajaj Finserv, which are associate companies, and Maharashtra Scooters, which is a subsidiary. It also holds 18.10% of each of Bajaj General Insurance and Bajaj Life Insurance. Other group companies in which it invests include Bajaj Electricals, Bajel Projects and Mukand.

Bajaj Auto manufactures and sells two wheelers (motorcycles and scooters) and three wheelers. Bajaj Finserv is the holding company for various financial services businesses under the Bajaj Group. These include consumer finance and lending, protection and savings through its two insurance subsidiaries, and mutual funds.

The company was incorporated in 1945. A demerger of the Bajaj Auto business took effect on 1 April 2007. On 8 January 2026 it bought 17.56% of each of Bajaj General Insurance and Bajaj Life Insurance from Allianz SE. A later buyback of Allianz SE's remaining shares by the two insurers raised its stake in each to 18.10%.
