Exchange had sought clarification from Uttam Value Steels Limited with respect to announcement dated 06-Aug-2016, regarding the Board of Directors of the Company at their meeting held on August 6, 2016 approved :1. BIFR has registered the reference made by the Company under Section 15(1) of the Sick Industrial Companies (Special Provisions) Act, 1985 Vide letter dated July 27, 2016.On the basis of above the Company has replies as follows: 1) Reason for forming opinion to file reference to BIFR:Since the accumulated losses of the Company have exceeded its networth (excluding revaluation reserves) for the F.Y. ended 31.03.2016, the Board of Directors of the Company in the meeting held on 30th May, 2016 have formed the opinion that the Company has prima facie become a Sick Industrial Company and therefore it is required to make the reference to the BIFR under proviso to Section 15(1) of the Sick Industrial Companies (Special Provisions) Act, 1985, (SICA)This is a mandatory requirement as per the Sick Industrial Companies (Special Provisions) Act, 1985, (SICA).2.
