Exchange has sought clarification from the Company with respect to news item captioned- 'Deloitte Resigns as Auditor After Manpasand Fails to share Key Data'. It is incumbent upon the Exchanges in such situations to attempt to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported and to disseminate to the market place the clarification/information furnished by the company. In this regard, you are advised to provide clarification/confirmation on the news item in detail including the following: a) You are advised to provide the sequence of events in chronological order. b) The article published in Economic Times states that Deloitte's move was triggered by the lack of cooperation from Manpasand on sharing with the auditor some crucial data related to capital expenditure and revenue and the auditors were seeking these details for at least a month, but those were never provided. c) Further the article also states that Deloitte has also informed the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) about the reasons behind the resignation. In this regard, you are requested to provide the reason for resignation of Auditor. d) You are also requested to confirm whether the resignation of Auditor placed before the audit committee? If yes, kindly provide their comments on said matter.
