News Verification : The media had reports that Essel Propack Ltd. may acquire a packaging unit of Alcan. The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company. Essel Propack Ltd. has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "We would like to clarify that the Company has been pursuing its growth strategy of new businesses and acquisitions. In line with the above strategy, the Company has been pursuing acquisition opportunities and would share the information with the Exchange as and when any such deed is concluded."
