Against Invesco Mutual Fund
- Invesco Mutual FundWe have relied on the auditors’ report, which has raised emphases of matter: (i)Under Schedule II of the Companies Act, 2013, only Dry Dock expenses for dredgers require separate depreciation; other physical components are depreciated with the asset. The management states that no impairment is needed as vessel market value exceeds carrying amount. (ii) The Company regularly obtains balance confirmations for trade receivables, payables, and deposits. Over 80% of trade balances are confirmed and reconciled; pending reconciliations are ongoing with no expected material impact. (iii) Prior period errors for 2023-24 were restated, including a Rs. 58.1 mn PPE understatement adjusted to retained earnings as of 1 April 2022. The auditors have qualified their opinion on Internal Financial Controls. The auditors identified key weaknesses in the Company’s internal controls, including ineffective management of inventory, errors leading to negative balances, and lapses in customer credit evaluation. The ERP system was not tested regularly, asset records are in editable Excel files, and trade account reconciliations are inadequate. Additionally, the review of internal financial controls by a consultant was incomplete. The company must disclose the reasons for having trade payables overdue for more than three years. Given the qualified opinion on internal financial controls, we do not support the resolution
