CMC Limited had informed the Exchange vide letter dated October 06, 2014 that Mr. S Ramadorai, Chairman and Director, had stepped down from the Board of the Company on October 06, 2014 on attaining the age of 70 years as per company's policy.Subsequently, Board of Direcors deliberated the aforesaid matter and requested Mr. Ramadorai to keep his resignation in abeyance till the ensuing Board meeting of the Company to be held on October 16, 2014. Further, Mr. S Ramadorai has agreed to keep his resignation in abeyance till the ensuing Board Meeting of the Company to be held on October 16, 2014. CMC Limited (CMC) has won a legal case against Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE). KSE had terminated the contract with CMC in September 2006, against which CMC filed a legal case in the courts of Kuwait. The Cassation Court of Kuwait, which is the highest judicial authority in Kuwait, delivered the judgment in favor of CMC and has ordered KSE to pay CMC a sum of KD 2.17 million (equivalent to approximately Rs. 46.37 crore at current exchange rate) along with interest @ 7% per annum from the original date of order from the lower Court.26 Mar · CMC wins court case in Kuwait
