An independent director has no business or family tie to the company, its promoters or its managers beyond the seat. Listed boards counts the boards of listed companies the director sits on, this one included, and "as independent" how many of those seats are independent ones. Committee seats are audit and stakeholder committee seats across those companies. Months as independent is filed for independent directors only, whose terms the rules cap. Disqualified is the company's own mark that a director may not serve under company law.

Tax disputes

Reported in the filing for the quarter to Sep 2026.

  • Tax disputeOffice of the Joint Commissioner of State Tax, Patna Special CircleSince 17 Aug 2024
There is no change in status from previous quarter reporting.
At the filing before: The Company received an order from the Office of the Joint Commissioner of State Tax, Patna Special Circle under Section 73(9) of the BGST/CGST Act 2017, read with Section 20 of the IGST Act 2017 with a demand of INR 685.93 lakhs. This order pertains to disallowance of claim of Input Tax Credit and suppression of purchase turnover arrived on assumption basis and levied tax liability at 18% on above issues specific to the state of Bihar for the financial year 2019-20. The tax liability is calculated by enhancing the taxable turnover and disallowance of claim of GST Credit for the said year. Following the receipt of the assessment order, the Company filed an appeal before Addl. Commissioner (Appeals), Patna on 15.11.2024 by depositing INR 36.78 lakh and attended hearings held in this regard. The Company further submitted additional grounds along with relevant supporting information to strengthen its contention. Order-In-Appeal was passed by Addl. Commissioner of State Tax (Appeals), Patna by partly allowing the claim of ITC for INR 13.39 lakh and partly disallowing claim of ISD Credit and levy of tax on enhancement of purchase turnover of INR 654.59 lakh. However, while passing the Order, Appellate Authority rejected the Company's position and confirmed the suppression of purchase turnover (which was arrived at on the assumption basis) along with other disallowances. Aggrieved by the Appellate order dated May 21, 2025, the Company has decided to challenge the said Appeal Order before GST Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT). During the quarter ended March 31, 2026, the Company deposited an additional 10% of the tax amount of INR 35.86 lakh as required for admission of the second-stage appeal before the GSTAT, Bihar. Based on the functioning of GSTAT Portal, the Company has completed the filing of 2nd stage appeal before Hon'ble GSTAT for the year 2019-20 on 30.06.2026 and is awaiting hearing notice.MoreLess
