Ici India Ltd. had informed the Exchange that the Board of Directors of the Company at their meeting held on June 29, 2006 has approved the sale of Company's Uniqema Business to Croda Group of UK. The proposal is subject to shareholders' and other approvals. The company has now informed the Exchange that: "The Company has obtained the necessary approvals and has transferred its Uniqema business to Croda Chemicals (India) Private Limited with effect from today 5 January 2007".
