Exchange had sought clarification from Hindustan Zinc Limited with respect to a news item captioned "Sesa Sterlite likely to merge Hindustan Zinc with itself". The Company has clarified that "there is no such proposal before the Board of Hindustan Zinc Ltd ( HZL), for merger of HZL with Sesa Sterlite Ltd, and that media reports appears to be speculation by individuals."
