GACL will supply approx. 600 MT Chlorine per day to the JV Company. The shareholding of GACL: DOW in the JV Company will be 50% each. The synergy of GACL & DOW's strengths will lay a strong foundation for mutual future growth. Dow Europe GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company. Dow Group is a global leader in chemical industry and largest supplier of chlorinated organic products. Dow currently produces Chloromethanes at four sites around the World with a total capacity of 5,00,000 MTA. The Managing Director during his visit to Dahej has flagged off the first fleet of Hydrogen Peroxide tankers to various destinations in the country. The "state of art" technology for this project has been supplied by world renowned Chemature Engineering AB, Sweeden and the project has been commissioned as per schedule. With the commissioning of this unit, GACL has now two operating plants at Baroda and Dahej and shall be having a major share in the domestic market.
