Exchange had sought clarification from the Company with respect to news item captioned "ABG Shipyard faces criminal proceedings". The response from the Company is as follow- ABG is currently under corporate insolvency process and I am the RP currently. The case relates to some old matter that we are not aware of. The case is on the promoters of ABG shipyard as per the article. The case was filed by standard chartered bank. We do not have any information about what has been filed as we are not a party to the same. We have not received any summons regarding the same till date. Currently the company is not doing any activity, the yard at dahej is shut and the Surat yard is having a very small operation. The employees are unpaid from the last 17 months. There is no staff at the HO and I am finding it very difficult to even prepare the books of accounts and complete the statutory filing. Exchange had sought clarification from the Company with respect to news item captioned "ABG Shipyard's vessel-owning unit docked as regulator revokes licence". The response from the Company as follow- """Embattled shipbuilding group ABG Shipyard has landed in fresh trouble after India's maritime regulator revoked a Document of Compliance (DoC) given to its ship-owning unit, PFS Shipping (India) Ltd, preventing it from operating ships. The Directorate General of Shipping (DGS) said that the firm's DoC, issued in March 2016, has been withdrawn due to "repeated violations" of the global code on mandatory safety requirements of ships and for non-payment of crew salaries for many months. The DGS had issued a show-cause notice to PFS Shipping""" ABG shipyard limited is currently under corporate insolvency process and I am the RP currently. The case relates to some other matter that we are not aware of. PFS shipping is a associate of ABG shipping. ABG ship yard limited has nothing to do in this case, PFS shipping is a separate company.
